What is This?

This website was created to increase the transparency of Baltimore City Council and State Delegation. The opinions expressed are those of the author, who is doing his best to overview legislation that feels important for Baltimore City. The slant will be from a progressive democrat standpoint and some commentary may also be included in overviews.

Who Even Writes this Stuff?

Just a Baltimore transplant who attends City Council meetings and trolls the General Assembly website . Others are welcome to contribute if they also don’t have anything better to do: you probably do. (Have you watched all of Breaking Bad yet? Seriously, you’re like 4 years behind, do that first and then get back to me).

When possible, references and links to real journalist, policy analysts, and advocates will be included to provide context to some of the opinions expressed and options for further reading and engagement. The author is neither a policy analyst or journalist, just vain enough to pretend to be one.

Why Should I Care?

That’s your choice. I think local/state politics determines 75% of your life and gets 25% of political coverage from major information outlets. If you see something important call your city counselor or state delegate/senator. A dozen calls could be enough to sway their opinion on something.
